About Jay
I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (M.Ed, BCBA) with a simple belief: every child has the ability to grow when they're truly understood.
Since 2022, I've worked with children, adolescents, and teens across home, school, and community settings — helping families move from overwhelmed to equipped.
My experience includes supporting teens in alternative education programs, serving as a clinical supervisor in a center-based setting, and providing direct therapy in home environments.
Whether your child is struggling with communication, challenging behaviors, or daily independence, I build a plan around them — not a generic program.
At Upside ABA, you won't be handed off to a technician.
You get me, every session.

My Mission
To create meaningful, lasting change — one family at a time. High-quality care means showing up fully, planning thoughtfully, and never losing sight of what matters most: your child's real life.
My Philosophy
I believe every child can grow when learning happens in the right environment, with the right support. My approach is built on understanding your child's unique strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world — then meeting them exactly where they are.
Why a solo BCBA?
At most ABA companies, a BCBA designs the plan — then hands it off to a technician. At Upside ABA, I do both. That means faster adjustments, deeper relationships, and a clinician who truly knows your child.

FAQ
Questions Families Ask
What is ABA?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is the gold-standard, science-backed approach to helping children learn new skills and reduce behaviors that get in the way of daily life. It's practical, individualized, and built around what actually works for your child.
Upside ABA is private pay only. This keeps us free from insurance restrictions — meaning your child's plan is driven entirely by their needs, not a payer's requirements. A superbill can be provided if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurer. Reach out for current rate information.
Do you accept insurance?
Will my child work directly with you?
Yes. Every session is delivered by me, Jay Lane, BCBA. You'll never be passed off to a technician or rotating staff member
Do you provide services directly?
Yes. I provide all services directly. Parent consultation is also available if requested as a standalone service.
What is a BCBA?
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a graduate-level clinician certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. BCBAs are trained to assess, design, and oversee behavior analytic interventions.
Where do sessions take place?
Primary services are provided in your home or in the community — wherever your child needs support most. I also collaborate with school teams when needed.
How often will we meet?
Frequency is based on your child's individual needs and is determined after the initial assessment. Sessions can be weekly, biweekly, or structured as consultative support — whatever serves your child best.
What ages do you work with?
I work with children, adolescents, and teens. My experience spans a wide range of ages and needs — from early skill building to supporting teens in navigating more complex social and behavioral challenges.
